By Belize Live News Staff: In a recent social media post, the United Democratic Party (UDP) revealed significant changes in its leadership, with four prominent members no longer part of the party. Tracy Panton, Patrick Faber, John Saldivar, and Beverly Williams have officially parted ways with the UDP, leading to vacancies in several key constituencies, including Albert, Belmopan, Belize Rural Central, and Collet.
The UDP has initiated a call for new candidates to fill the positions of Standard Bearers in these constituencies. Aspiring candidates have until September 6, 2024, to submit their applications, as the party aims to fill these critical roles promptly.
This leadership transition is part of the UDP’s ongoing efforts to reorganize and strengthen its foundation. The party remains committed to promoting its core democratic values, captured by its slogan, “Keeping Democracy Alive.” With the upcoming internal restructuring, the UDP is seeking fresh faces to represent these important constituencies in the future.
As the deadline approaches, the UDP is encouraging interested individuals to step forward and play a role in the party’s future direction.
