Child severely injured in Belize City motorcycle accident

By Belize Live News Staff: A six-year-old girl sustained severe head injuries in a motorcycle accident in Belize City on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred on Barrack Road shortly after 2 p.m. when the motorcycle, carrying the child and a relative, attempted to overtake a vehicle and collided with an oncoming car.

Video footage shows the impact throwing both riders from the motorcycle. The child, identified as Emily Molina, was seen bleeding from the head.

Both the child and the driver were transported to Belize Healthcare Partners for treatment. The extent of their injuries remains unclear.

Police are investigating the incident, and further details are expected to be released today.
