This project aims to install a 34.5 kV submarine cable that will interconnect the two islands, enhancing the electricity infrastructure and ensuring a more reliable power supply. The project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
The marine survey, which began recently, is being conducted by two specialized vessels, the “Sea Date” and the “Lazy Pelican.” These vessels are outfitted with advanced data collection equipment and are supported by teams of divers actively working in the waters. The survey operations are anticipated to wrap up by Thursday, September 5, 2024.
