Mixed Weather Ahead: Sunshine, showers, and thunderstorms expected across Belize today

Fair skies over Belize, only isolated showers expected

By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect a mix of sunshine and showers today as moist and unstable conditions continue to linger over the region. While sunny skies will dominate, cloudy intervals are expected throughout the day. Showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop, primarily in the southern and coastal regions this morning, before moving inland by the afternoon.

Tonight, the skies will remain partly cloudy to cloudy, with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms possible, particularly in the south and coastal areas. Marine conditions will see easterly winds blowing at 5-15 knots, resulting in light chop and waves reaching 2-4 feet. Temperatures will remain warm, with coastal areas experiencing highs of 89°F and lows of 82°F. Inland regions can expect higher temperatures, reaching 94°F, while the hills will be slightly cooler, with highs of 80°F.

The tropical weather outlook remains calm, with no tropical cyclone formation expected in the next 48 hours. Looking ahead to Friday and Friday night, cloudy spells will persist, accompanied by a few morning showers and isolated thunderstorms. Shower activity will generally be isolated throughout the rest of the day.

Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and take necessary precautions when venturing outdoors.
