Police arrest three for handling stolen goods after Courts heist

By Belize Live News Staff: Police arrested three people in Belize City on charges of handling stolen goods following an armed robbery at a Courts store in Belmopan on August 12th, authorities said on Tuesday.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero told reporters that searches led to the recovery of cell phones and laptops taken during the robbery. Rhonda Slusher, Tyra Diaz, and Roy Alvarez were arrested and charged. Romero indicated that further charges are expected.

The robbery involved seven masked individuals who overpowered a security guard and stole a safe and other items. Police are continuing their investigation into the heist.
