Masked men rob two women in Burrell Boom home invasion

By Belize Live News Staff: Two masked men carried out an aggravated burglary in Burrell Boom village on Sunday, holding two women at knife and machete-point and ransacking their home, police said on Monday.

The incident occurred on Sunday evening when two masked men in camouflage clothing entered the house. The women were threatened but not physically harmed. The assailants stole three watches, a cell phone, and cash.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero, Officer Commanding Eastern Division, said the two women were at home alone when the assailants struck. They brandished a knife and a machete, forcing the women to comply while they searched the house. The robbers fled the scene with their loot, and the police were called. An investigation is underway, but no suspects have been identified or apprehended yet.
