By Belize Live News Staff: A tropical wave is making its way towards Belize, set to disrupt the current spell of generally fair weather. The National Meteorological Service has forecast an increase in showers and thunderstorms, particularly over southern and coastal areas, starting tonight.
While the day will start with cloudy spells, isolated showers and thunderstorms may occur. Temperatures along the coast will range between a warm 89°F (32°C) and a comfortable 82°F (28°C), while inland areas will see highs near 95°F (35°C) and lows around 74°F (23°C).
Seas will remain relatively calm with light chop and waves reaching 2-4 feet. Winds will be easterly at 5-10 knots.
Potential Tropical Cyclone #5, currently located 525 miles east-southeast of Antigua, is moving westward at 26 mph. While its exact path remains uncertain, it is being closely monitored for potential impacts on Belize. The forecast for Tuesday and Tuesday night includes the likelihood of showers and thunderstorms across most areas.
