Belize International Music and Food Festival celebrated peacefully, Police praised

By Belize Live News Staff: The Belize International Music and Food Festival (BIMFF) concluded without violence, despite attracting thousands of attendees. Police Commissioner Chester Williams commended the officers in San Pedro for their “stellar job” in maintaining peace and order during the event.

Williams highlighted the effective coordination between the police and the Belize Tourism Board in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of festival-goers. He noted the successful cordoning off of the festival area and praised the officers for their professionalism and dedication.

“These are things we don’t normally get commended for,” Williams said, emphasizing that the peaceful conclusion of the festival is a testament to the department’s planning and execution capabilities.

The BIMFF, a major cultural event in Belize, featured a diverse range of music and food offerings. Despite minor technical difficulties, the festival was considered a success due to the absence of any security incidents.
