By Belize Live News Staff: The Belize Meteorological Service has issued a weather advisory for today, forecasting cloudy skies interspersed with sunny breaks, accompanied by scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout most of the country. The current moist and unstable easterly airflow is expected to diminish as the day progresses.
While the southern regions may experience a few showers and isolated thunderstorms tonight, the rest of Belize can anticipate partly cloudy to cloudy skies.
Marine conditions are expected to be choppy, with easterly winds ranging from 10 to 20 knots and waves reaching heights of 3 to 5 feet.
Temperatures will vary across Belize, with coastal areas reaching highs of 87°F (31°C) and lows of 82°F (28°C). Inland areas will experience warmer temperatures, with highs of 91°F (33°C) and lows of 74°F (23°C). Hilly regions will have milder temperatures, reaching highs of 79°F (26°C) and lows of 68°F (20°C).
The National Hurricane Center has confirmed that there is no expectation of tropical cyclone formation in the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of Mexico within the next 48 hours.
Looking ahead to Monday, Belizeans can expect partly cloudy skies with isolated showers, potentially increasing in the south during the night.
