By Belize Live News Staff: Team Belize made history on Saturday night, winning their first gold medal at the 20th Women’s Central American Volleyball Championship. The team defeated long-time rivals Guatemala in straight sets (25-17, 25-18, 25-18) at the Belize Civic Center.
This landmark victory caps off an undefeated tournament run for Team Belize, who finished with a perfect record of four wins and 20 points. Honduras secured second place with a 3-1 record and 13 points, while defending champions Guatemala took third with a 2-2 record and 12 points.
