By Belize Live News Staff: Belize continues to experience moist and unstable conditions, with cloudy skies and sunny breaks expected today, July 21, 2024. Showers, thunderstorms, and periods of light rain will affect northern and central areas this morning, decreasing in the afternoon.
A few showers and thunderstorms are expected tonight, mainly in the south. Winds will be E-NE at 10-15 knots, with choppy seas and waves of 3-5 feet. Temperatures along the coast will range from 87°F (31°C) to 79°F (26°C).
Inland areas will see temperatures ranging from 92°F (33°C) to 74°F (23°C), while in the hills, they will range from 77°F (25°C) to 68°F (20°C).
Winds may become gusty, and seas locally rough near heavy showers and thunderstorms. Excessive rainfall has been observed over southern coastal areas, and the inclement weather is expected to continue this morning. Residents are advised to monitor the situation and contact the Hydrology Unit or NEMO for information on flooding.
No tropical cyclone formation is expected in the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of Mexico within the next 48 hours.
Cloudy skies with a chance of a few showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected, mainly along the coast on Monday. Shower activity will decrease and become isolated Monday night.
