By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans woke up to a bright and sunny start to their Monday, with just a few clouds dotting the sky. According to the latest forecast from the National Meteorological Service, this pattern is expected to continue throughout the day, with intermittent sunny spells and cloudy periods.
However, residents are advised to keep an umbrella handy as isolated showers or thunderstorms are predicted to develop, particularly in the southern and coastal areas this morning and tonight. Those residing inland may also experience some showers in the afternoon.
Despite the possibility of rain, the overall outlook remains pleasant, with a light easterly airflow ensuring calm marine conditions. Seafarers and beachgoers can expect light chop and waves reaching only 2-4 feet.
Temperatures will vary across the country, reaching highs of 94°F (34°C) inland and dropping to lows of 68°F (20°C) in the hills. Coastal regions will enjoy moderate temperatures, hovering between 82°F (28°C) and 89°F (32°C).
On the tropical weather front, there is no cause for concern as no tropical cyclone formation is expected in the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of Mexico within the next 48 hours.
As Belizeans go about their day, they can expect a mix of sunshine and cloud cover, with a chance of isolated showers. Stay tuned to Belize Live News for further weather updates throughout the day.
