By Belize Live News Staff: In a decisive victory, David Castillo has emerged as the winner in the Corozal North PUP Convention, securing his position as the Standard Bearer for the People’s United Party (PUP) in the upcoming General Election. Castillo’s triumph is marked by a substantial lead over his competitors, with an unofficial count showing him receiving 994 votes.
Einstein Bodden, another contender in the race, garnered 173 votes, while Ivan Valencia received 352 votes. Castillo’s victory reinforces his strong support within the party and sets the stage for his candidacy in the General Election, where he will represent the PUP for Corozal North.
The official results are awaited, but the unofficial tally indicates a clear and significant lead for Castillo.
