Sun and showers predicted for Belize today

By Belize Live News: The Belize National Meteorological Service has released its forecast for today, indicating a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers across the country.

While conditions are anticipated to become less humid and unstable later in the day, expect a few cloudy periods during both daytime and nighttime hours.

Central and southern areas are most likely to experience scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the morning and afternoon. These are expected to become less frequent as the evening progresses, although the extreme south may still see a few more showers or thunderstorms.

Marine conditions are expected to be moderately rough, with easterly winds of 10-20 knots and waves reaching up to 7 feet. Small crafts are advised to exercise caution due to gusty winds and the possibility of rough seas.

Temperatures along the coast will range from 82°F (28°C) to 89°F (32°C), while inland areas will be warmer, with highs reaching 93°F (34°C). Cooler temperatures of 69°F (21°C) to 81°F (27°C) are expected in the hills.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, cloudy skies with isolated showers or thunderstorms are anticipated. However, come Wednesday night, there is a higher chance of showers, particularly along the coastal areas.

The good news is that no tropical cyclone formation is expected in the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of Mexico within the next 48 hours.
