By Belize Live News Staff: A 26-year-old man, Brian Perriott, has been remanded to prison after pleading guilty to the intentional transmission of a nude image without consent.
The victim, a 20-year-old woman, reported to police that Perriott sent her a video on Facebook on June 10th, in which she was nude, without her consent. This occurred after she had ended their relationship earlier that month. Perriott further threatened to share the video with her family and post it online.
On June 27th, the victim received a screenshot of the video from a friend, confirming Perriott had carried out his threat. When confronted, Perriott sent a voice message threatening to harm the victim and her family.
Perriott now faces a potential sentence of up to 5 years in prison or a fine.
