By Belize Live News Staff: The Santa Elena/Santa Ignacio (SISE) Town Council has expressed strong condemnation following acts of vandalism at the ongoing construction site of the Santa Elena synthetic field project. Fencing pipes were reported to have been cut and stolen, leading to unwanted delays and additional expenses for the development.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Council urged residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity observed near the project site. The Council emphasized that such acts of vandalism not only impede the progress of the much-anticipated recreational facility but also undermine the collective efforts of the community to improve shared spaces.
The synthetic field project, a significant investment for the town, aims to provide a safe and modern space for sports and recreational activities for residents of all ages.
