Prime Minister Briceño attends Presidential Ceremony in Panama

By Belize Live New Staff: The Office of the Prime Minister announces that Prime Minister John Briceño has departed for Panama City, Panama, to attend the Presidential Transfer of Command Ceremony of the newly elected President, His Excellency Jose Raul Molino Quintero. The ceremony is scheduled for today, July 1, 2024.

During Prime Minister Briceño’s absence, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources, Mining and Petroleum, Cordel Hyde, will serve as Acting Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Briceño is expected to return to Belize on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
