Camalote man detained after shooting at Commissioner of Police's home

By Belize Live News Staff: Police are expected to charge Threvane Thomas, a 21-year-old resident of Camalote Village, with aggravated assault in connection with a shooting incident at the home of the Commissioner of Police in Belmopan.

Thomas, the son of an employee at the National Police Training Academy, is alleged to have been one of four men who opened fire on the Commissioner’s home on Tuesday night while the Commissioner’s son was home alone. No injuries were reported.

Quick police action led to Thomas’s detention and the confiscation of the firearm and one of the motorcycles believed to have been used in the crime.
