Belize braces for intermittent showers amidst sunny periods

By Belize Live News Staff: Belize is set for a day of mixed weather conditions today, with the National Meteorological Service forecasting sunny skies punctuated by cloudy spells.

While the morning may bring a few showers and isolated thunderstorms, particularly along the south coast and central inland areas, the afternoon is expected to see shower activity shift towards the interior of the country.

As night falls and tomorrow morning approaches, residents, especially those in the southern districts, can anticipate a few outbreaks of showers and thunderstorms.

The coastal regions will experience moderate temperatures, with highs of 90°F (32°C) and lows of 82°F (28°C), while inland areas will see slightly warmer temperatures, reaching up to 95°F (35°C) before dipping to 74°F (23°C) at night. The hills will offer a cooler respite, with highs of 82°F (28°C) and lows of 68°F (20°C).

Marine conditions will see winds blowing from the east-southeast at 10-15 knots, with light chop to choppy seas and waves ranging from 2 to 5 feet.

Looking ahead to Thursday and Thursday night, cloudy spells will persist, with isolated showers giving way to some outbreaks of showers and thunderstorms, primarily in the south and coastal areas.

Residents are advised to stay informed about the latest weather updates and be prepared for the possibility of wet weather.
