By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect a mixed bag of weather today, with sunny spells interspersed with cloudy periods and scattered showers and thunderstorms, according to the national meteorological service.
The morning will likely see sunshine with some cloud cover, but showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop, mainly affecting coastal areas initially. As the day progresses, these storms will move inland and northward, with the southern regions experiencing the most rainfall by nightfall.
Temperatures will vary across the country, with coastal areas reaching highs of 89°F (32°C) and lows of 81°F (27°C). Inland regions will be warmer, peaking at 94°F (34°C) and dipping to 74°F (23°C). Hilly areas will offer a cooler respite, ranging between 81°F (27°C) and 70°F (21°C).
Mariners should expect choppy seas with waves reaching 3-5 feet and winds blowing from the east to southeast at 10-15 knots.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, partly cloudy skies are anticipated with isolated showers or thunderstorms. The southern part of the country may experience slightly more rainfall than other regions on Monday night.
High tides are expected at 11:06 AM and 12:56 AM (tomorrow), while low tides will occur at 6:40 PM and 5:44 AM (tomorrow). Sunrise is at 5:20 AM and sunset at 6:30 PM.
