By Belize Live News Staff: Police have arrested and charged 35-year-old Jeffery Pott of Belize City with murder following a Saturday morning shooting in the city.
The investigation began when police responded to a report in Pitts Alley. Upon arrival, officers found the lifeless body of 50-year-old Dion Martin Bowden, who had sustained gunshot wounds.
Initial reports indicate that Bowden was walking on Pinks Alley around 1:25 a.m. when he was shot.
He was transported to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His body is currently awaiting a post-mortem examination.
