San Ignacio home destroyed in suspected arson

By Belize News Staff: A fire on Santa Maria Street has left a local resident homeless and raising questions of foul play. The blaze erupted at the residence of Theo Lennon Jr., where he had lived for 19 years.

According to Lennon, the fire originated near one of the windows and rapidly spread despite his attempts to control it. Firefighters arrived approximately half an hour later and managed to extinguish the flames, but the house was already extensively damaged.

Lennon believes the fire was intentionally set, suspecting arson, but he remains puzzled as to why anyone would target his home. Authorities are currently investigating the incident, and no further details have been released at this time.
