By Belize Live News Staff: Mother Nature is unleashing her fury on Belize, with the National Meteorological Service forecasting a day of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and rough seas. An Excessive Rainfall Warning is in effect for the Northern and Belize Districts, urging residents to prepare for possible flooding.
Coastal areas can expect temperatures reaching a balmy 84°F (29°C), while inland temperatures will peak at 86°F (30°C) before dipping to a comfortable 73°F (23°C). Hilly regions will experience a cooler climate, with temperatures hovering between 72°F (22°C) and 68°F (20°C).
Mariners are advised to exercise caution, as a Small Craft Warning has been issued due to rough seas and strong gusty winds expected in offshore waters.
Forecaster Crystal Rosalez warns that this wet and wild weather pattern is expected to persist throughout the day and into Friday, with the northern and central parts of the country bearing the brunt of the downpour. However, there is a glimmer of hope for sunnier skies, as the activity is predicted to become more isolated by Friday afternoon.
In light of these conditions, residents are strongly advised to stay updated with the latest weather advisories and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety. Keep your umbrellas handy and stay dry, Belize!
