More Rain, thunderstorms, and flooding possible as wet weather persists

By Belize Live News Staff: Get ready to grab those umbrellas and rain boots, Belize! The National Meteorological Service is warning of continued wet weather across the country as a pesky low-pressure system lingers.

While today may offer a few sunny breaks, don’t be fooled – scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected, particularly in inland areas this afternoon. But the real soaker is predicted for tonight, with heavy rain likely to drench most areas, especially those along the coast and in the north.

A Strong Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect, so keep an eye out for intense lightning, damaging winds, and potential flooding. Stay tuned to local news and weather reports for updates.

The outlook for Thursday isn’t much drier, with more showers, thunderstorms, and periods of rain expected throughout the day, particularly in the northern and central regions.

Temperatures will remain warm and muggy, reaching the low 90s along the coast.

Remember, this is just the beginning of Belize’s rainy season, so be prepared for more wet weather in the coming months. Stay safe and dry, Belize!
