By Belize Live News Staff: The vibrant community of San Antonio, Cayo, came together yesterday to celebrate “Another Beautiful Day in San Antonio,” an annual event dedicated to the revival and preservation of Yucatec Maya cultural heritage.
Under the theme “Tanah: Nurturing Community Resilience through Yucatec Maya Culture, Language, and Healthy Living,” the festivities showcased the rich traditions, language, and customs of the Yucatec Maya people. The event featured a variety of cultural displays, performances, and activities, including traditional music and dance, culinary demonstrations, and craft workshops.
The National Institute of Culture and History (NICH), a key supporter of the event, praised the organizers and collaborators for their dedication to promoting cultural awareness and community resilience.
