Elderly man found murdered in Belize cemetery

By Belize Live News Staff: A gruesome discovery was made on Thursday morning in the village of Roaring Creek, Belize, where the body of 67-year-old Benito Cal was found inside the local cemetery.

Authorities responded to the scene around 6:00 a.m. after receiving reports of a body in the cemetery. Upon arrival, they discovered Cal deceased, with severe head trauma. Preliminary investigations indicate that a cement block found near the body was used as the murder weapon.

The motive for the killing remains unclear, and police have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding Cal’s death.
